Animals in the area? Do not light fireworks!
Fireworks can be scary for animals. The bright lights and loud noises can cause them extreme stress and anxiety. The municipality is asking people planning to light fireworks to show consideration for the animals in The Hague. Never light fireworks when animals are near.
The municipality is prohibiting the use of fireworks in many spots. To protect animals as well. Signs will indicated where the ban is in effect. For example, around:
- Children’s farms and city farms
- Animal shelters
- Riding stables and riding schools
- Nature areas and parks
