It can sometimes take a few weeks before the municipality takes action to prevent and get rid of rats. This is because the municipality has to abide by certain rules and regulations.
How it works:
- The municipality will always start an investigation when it receives a report of a new spot with rats.
- The municipality will examine the measures needed in your neighbourhood to combat the rat problem. For example, it will tidy up planting areas or clean the surroundings.
- If the situation does not improve sufficiently, the municipality will take rodent control measures (pest management).
