Towed vehicles
Is your vehicle parked illegally? Then the municipality can tow the vehicle away. Also vehicles which have gotten a wheel clamp can be towed away after 24 hours.
The towed vehicle will be taken to the parking facility (tow pound) of the Barendregt towing company.

Opening hours
The counter where you can pay and where you can pick up your car is open every day from 8.00 hrs. to midnight. Would you like to come outside of these opening hours? Or on a public holiday? Call the Barendregt towing company ahead of time.
Getting the towed car back
To get your vehicle back, go to the counter of the Barendregt towing company. There you will need to pay the towing charges and storage costs for your vehicle. You will get a receipt and then you can take your car.
Fees
Parking ticket
Was your car towed away because you did not pay for parking or because you parked without a permit? And did you get a Begin link: parking ticket, end link. ? Then these are the fees:
- Costs for your parking ticket: € 76.70 + the hourly rate or half-hourly rate for the parking spot. In addition:
- Costs for removing the Begin link: wheel clamp, end link. : € 306.
- Costs for towing and storage: € 306. Was your car there for longer than 24 hours? Then you will be charged an extra € 25 a day.
Ticket (citation) for a parking violation
Was your car towed away because you parked your car in a spot where it is not allowed? And did you get a Begin link: parking ticket (citation), end link. ? Then these are the fees:
- Amount of your fine. The amount of the fine depends on the violation.
You will receive a ticket from the Central Judicial Collection Agency (CJIB).
In addition: - Costs for towing and storage: € 306. Was your car there for longer than 24 hours? Then you will be charged an extra € 25 a day.
Unclaimed cars
Cars which have not been picked up will be put up for auction or demolished after 16 days depending on their value.
Objection to towing
Do you disagree with the reason your vehicle was towed away? Once you have picked up your car and paid the towing charges, you may Begin link: file an objection, end link. to the towing.
Bicycles and mopeds
The tow pound is only for towed vehicles. For bicycles go to the website of Begin external link: Bicycle Depot Haaglanden(External link), end external link.. Mopeds (scooters) will not be removed or taken to the bicycle depot. The municipality will only remove mopeds which are no longer operable (wrecks).
