Responsible pet ownership campaign launched

The municipality wants to get residents thinking about what it means to take care of a pet. This is why there is now a campaign about responsible pet ownership.

People do not always realise that a pet involves work. A group of hairy Hague heroes says ‘Wat denk je zelf!’ (‘Don’t forget about us!’) as a reminder of what it means to take care of a pet. The animals can be seen on posters in the city, on social media and at Begin external link: www.huisdierinformatiepunt.nl(External link), end external link.. The animals in the campaign are real animals from the shelters in The Hague.

Improving animal welfare

The Hague’s coalition agreement contains measures to continue to work on a better life for animals in the city. This campaign should contribute towards this. Later this year the campaign will also raise awareness of wild animals in the city.
