Rental advice for landlords
Are you renting out your home or part of your home, such as a room? Rental advisors at the municipality can help you if you have questions. For example, about rental contracts, permits, sustainability and maintenance.
The Hague has purchase protection measures for residential properties. If you buy a home with a property value (WOZ) of up to € 435,000, you are not allowed to rent it out. Renting out your property
There are a number of important conditions for renting out your property. The tenant must actually go and live in the property. And you have to check if the tenant’s income and the size of the household (number of people) are in line with the property you are offering. On the page Begin link: Woning verhuren, end link. Room rental
Do you want to rent out the rooms in your home separately? Or do you have a spare room you would like to rent out? You have to comply with a number of conditions. You will need a conversion permit (omzettingsvergunning) if 3 or more people will be living in the separate rooms. Rights and obligations

Landlords have to check whether the tenant needs an affordable housing permit. This is mandatory for many properties. If a property is rented out without an affordable housing permit although it is required, the municipality can hand out high fines. If your tenant is behind in paying his rent (arrears), you can report this to the municipality. You must get permission from your tenant in order to provide personal details. Temporary rental
Would you like to rent out your own home temporarily? For example, because you bought a new home, but you cannot find a buyer for your old home? Holiday rental

Renting out a 2nd home
Are you renting out your home as a 2nd home or pied-à-terre? This is a form of holiday rental. It means that you rent out a residential property to someone who does not really live there but is using it as a temporary residence. Lead pipes
