Change personal data in the BRP
Do you live in The Hague? And your details are not correct in the Personal Records Database (BRP)? Such as your name, date of birth or citizenship (nationality)? You can have this information changed. Make an appointment to do this.

A valid form of identification
Your passport or identity card.
Proof of the new information
For example your birth certificate. No copies are allowed. You first need to have any foreign certificates legalised (made official with a signature and stamp). And they must be translated by a sworn (official) translator in the Netherlands. It can take 8 to 12 weeks to change your personal details. If an extra investigation is needed, it can take longer. You will be notified if your request is denied.
