Extract non-resident of the Netherlands (RNI)

Are you registered as a non-resident of the Netherlands in the Non-residents Records Database (RNI)? Then you can request a RNI extract.

Were you deregistered in the Netherlands before 1 October 1994 and do you only need a ‘proof of deregistration from the Netherlands before 1994’? Look how you can Begin link: arrange this online, end link. . You do not need to be registered in the RNI for this.

You are registered in the Non-residents Records Database (Registratie Niet-ingezetenen/RNI).

Apply for the extract using the online form. You can also use this form to change your address right away. You need DigiD to use this form.

Request a RNI extract for somebody else

You can request a RNI extract for somebody else at a municipal counter. Make an appointment to do this.

What you need to bring to the appointment:

  • written authorisation with the signature of the person for whom you are requesting an extract. You can use the authorisation form for this.

  • a copy of a valid passport or Dutch identity card (not a driving licence) for the person giving the authorisation.
  • a copy of your own passport or Dutch identity card.

A RNI extract costs € 17.35 (in 2024) excluding postage costs.

The municipality will send the extract to the address at which you are registered in the RNI. You will get the bill at the email address you provided.

Once your payment is received the municipality will send the extract to you within 14 days. When you receive it depends on the postal service.

Types of extracts

Standard extract with citizen service number BSN), nationality and address Your name, date of birth, place of birth, country of birth, gender, nationality/nationalities, citizen service number (BSN) and your foreign address (if it is known)
Extract with address and historic address information (as of 1 October 1994) Your name, date of birth, citizen service number (BSN), your foreign address (if it is known) and all the addresses you were registered at as of 1 October 1994
International extract with marital status and nationality (Dutch-French-German-English) Your name, date of birth, place of birth, marital status (on the date you were deregistered), nationality/nationalities, the names of your parents and the date you were deregistered from the Netherlands
International extract with marital status and nationality (Dutch-Spanish-Italian-Turkish) Your name, date of birth, place of birth, marital status (on the date you were deregistered), nationality/nationalities, the names of your parents and the date you were deregistered from the Netherlands
Other If you need other information than provided on the standard extracts, you can indicate which information should be included on the extract. For example the information you need as proof of deregistration.
