Frederik Hendrikplein: choose the new playground

The Frederik Hendrikplein in the Statenkwartier will get a new playground. Children can choose their favourite playground. They can do this either at the playground on Wednesday, 19 June 2024 or using the online poll below. The deadline to vote is 21 June 2024.

There are always a lot of children in the playground. It is now time for a new one. To provide all children with a nice place to play, there will also be equipment for children with a handicap. The plan is to completely renew the playground in the autumn of 2024.

Other changes

In addition to the playground, the municipality will also do other work. For example, it will make changes to the street lamps, the street, the benches and the rubbish bins. Also the paths on the side of the playground will be removed. They will be replaced by extra plants.

Help from children

Playground manager Peter from the Scheveningen city district is asking for help from children living nearby the Frederik Hendrikplein. He has had 3 plans made for the new playground. He would like to know which design you like the best. The plan which gets the most votes will be built. Children are also allowed to vote for the colour of the playground. There are also 3 choices.

Vote in the playground on 19 June

On Wednesday, 19 June 2024 playground manager Peter and the supplier of the playground equipment will be at the playground from 13.00 to 14.30 hrs. Children can then vote and get a free ice pop.

Take the poll
