Special honour for local businesses

Local businesses in The Hague can apply for a special honour when they celebrate a 50-year anniversary. Or a multiple of 10 or 25 years on top of the 50 years.

The honour is the municipality’s way of thanking local businesses for their hard work and commitment when they reach this milestone.

This ‘Ondernemers zijn Goud waard’ (Businesses are worth their weight in gold) award is especially for businesses. Entrepreneurs and their employees are allowed to apply for the award.

Needed to apply

The honour is for companies which are celebrating an anniversary this year of 50 years, or a multiple of 10 or 25 years on top of the 50 years. It is also possible to apply for the award when a company ceases its operations after more than 40 years.

The honour will be presented during a company party or special moment. It is not possible to apply for the honour retroactively.
