Why is this event important? The underrepresentation of women in cyber security remains a challenge:
– Women constitute only 24% of the IT workforce, with an even lower representation in cyber security—approximately 11% worldwide.
– Despite a growing demand for cyber security professionals, the number of women in the sector has not increased significantly in recent years.
– Research indicates that diverse teams contribute to greater innovation and creativity, highlighting the need for more inclusivity in technical cyber security roles.
By bringing together professionals from diverse backgrounds, this event aims to encourage knowledge sharing, facilitate dialogue, and promote a more inclusive cyber security community. Participation is open to all, regardless of gender.
